SALTO locks provide an advanced and secure access control solution, and by integrating them with the VESTA panel, you can efficiently manage and monitor access in real-time. This manual is designed to make the installation process easy, ensuring you can quickly take advantage of all the benefits that this integration offers.

Installation Steps

Lock Mounting

Z-WAVE Connection: Procedure for adding the lock to the VESTA panel via Z-WAVE.

Once the installation is complete and the batteries are installed, we are going to proceed with the registration in VESTA. After you have physically installed the SALTO lock and inserted the batteries, the next step is to register the lock with the VESTA panel. This registration process is necessary to link the lock to the VESTA system so that it can be managed and controlled through the panel.

This exclude option is very important to be able to leave the device without information and registration data, so that it can be correctly added to the VESTA coordinator. Before adding the lock to the VESTA system, it’s crucial to perform an “exclude” operation. Excluding the device ensures that any previous connection data or registration information stored on the lock is erased. This step essentially resets the lock, removing any old network data, so it’s ready to be correctly added (or "included") to the VESTA coordinator (the central Z-WAVE hub). If you skip this step, the lock might have leftover data that could interfere with the new registration process, leading to connection issues.
